It means we're a small, locally owned and operated company that prioritizes quality over quantity. Our mission is to provide an experience that larger, nationally owned agencies simply cannot match. After 30 years of working in a fast-paced city career, I returned home to be closer to family—and to care for my ailing father. That experience changed everything. As I navigated his care from a distance, I kept asking: Who’s really looking after him? Do they treat him like I would? Is he truly cared for, or just checked on? I found many caregivers who could meet his physical needs—but few who could offer real companionship. Someone to build a connection, lift his spirits, and be present. That journey inspired me to start Home Companion. Today, I’m proud to lead a team that sees every client as more than a task. Our mission is to bring light into people’s lives through genuine care, shared stories, and heartfelt support.
